Queer Spirit community
Winter BreathWork
+ Chanting Circles

You are invited to gather with us for our monthly Winter Chanting Circles to support & comfort your mind, heart & spirit.

We recognize that the winter time season can be a tender time for us queer folks as we pass through the end of the calendar year.
In response, we invite you to join us to explore chanting, breathwork and movement.

Our chanting circles are held online via Zoom.

We gather on the third Sunday of each month through winter @ 5pm PST / 8pm EST for about 1 hour.

2023-2024 Session Dates:

  • October 22nd
  • November 19th
  • December 17th

*Read more here about about why pronouns + land acknowledgment are important.

Each month TanyaMarck & Nick will create a custom practice for the group. The themes may follow the seasons of the year, the phases of the moon and stars, or a particular spiritual practice or chant. Below is more information about some of the practices you may experience.

Breathwork is the mindful connection to your body + systems along with your inhale and exhale, a concept descended from the ancient practice Pranyayama, a Sanskrit word which has been translated as ‘extension of the life force’ or ‘breath control.’ Breathwork is the exploration of inhaling and exhaling techniques. Breathwork is a tool for regulating, releasing, receiving, resetting, and grounding your energy in your body + systems.

Devotional chanting:
Chanting has the potential to bring you to deep attention and a feeling of connection to the divine. Chants may be in a variety of languages and may stem from different spiritual traditions or mantras. Or they may simply be positive affirmations and words of compassion to cultivate a sense of peace and well-being. In these practices we honor and respect all spiritual and religious lineages.
